Welcome to the Nimbin A&I Society, the organisation responsible for operating and maintaining the Nimbin Showgrounds. The earliest photographic record of the showgrounds we have is from 1920, we believe that was the first year the annual show was held.

The grounds, and the fashions, certainly have changed over the years, and so to the types of exhibits. Once there were pigs, goats and dairy cattle in addition to the stud cattle, poultry and horse events that are still held today. And what would a visit to the show be without a look in the pavillion – baking, horticulture, craft, photography, apiculture, brewing, the list goes on. Times change of course, but the Society strives to retain a little of the old world charm of the traditional agricultural show, whilst embracing more modern traditions of rides, games and show bags.
Charlie Soward and Bruce McClelland, long time members of the Society, are immortalised with a pavilion and arena named after each, respectively.
