With barely a week to go until the Nimbin Country Show on September 23 and 24, the volunteers at the A&I Society are excited to be holding their first show in four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the 100th show in 2019 the Showgrounds have been beset by a number of disasters that lead to the cancellation of the show three years running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite this we’ve still managed to act as an evacuation centre during fires and floods, and to provide camping for tourists when weather and pandemic conditions allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s also been a fair bit of work done as a result of a Bushfire Recovery Grant awarded in 2020. Patrons and exhibitors will discover new stalls in the cattle arena, an awning added to the poultry pavilion, an enclosed equestrian stable, and a not-quite-completed building \u001f- with yet another awning – on the site of the old preschool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
